Meaning of துரகம்

துரகதம், s. a horse, குதிரை; 2. a kind of natural arsenic.

துரககதி, speed of the horse; 2. the 5 paces of the horse:- மல்லகதி, the jumping pace of a wrestler, a gallop; மயூரகதி, the even pace of a peacock; வானரகதி, the pace of the monkey; விடபகதி, the trotting pace of the bull; 3. வியாக்கிரகதி, the swift bounding pace of the tiger. Five other paces also are given:- தௌரிதகம், a quick pace; ஆக்கிரந்திகம், a rough trot; வல்கிதம், an amble; இரேசிதம், a canter; புலு தம், a full gallop.
